Brown Butter Garlic Shrimp Scampi

Do you really want to impress your Valentines date this February?! Well look no further.... Our Koa Roots Smoked Brown Butter adds a delicious smoky flavor to the shrimp scampi that takes it to the next level 😊


  • 1-pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 4 tablespoons Koa Roots Smoked Brown Butter (any flavor)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup Sherry or your favorite dry white wine

  • Juice from half of one large lemon

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the Koa Roots Smoked Brown Butter. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  2. Pour in the white wine, lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce is slightly reduced, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until just pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Note: Serve over some pasta, a scoop of white rice, or some crusty bread, or with some steamed vegetables.
